Premier Foods has
recruited Sainsbury’s customer insight head Jeremy Garlick to the position
of general manager of group insights.
Garlick, a former personal assistant to
chief executive Justin King, will lead a 13-strong team analysing consumer
trends and identifying marketing, sales and senior management opportunities.
“It is essential we continue to develop
and drive consumer and market insights that inform and influence our
business decisions and ensure category growth,” said Premier Foods ambient
foods managing director Will Carter. “Garlick’s role will be to drive this
area of the business.”
Before joining Sainsbury’s, Garlick spent
two years with Walkers’ Consumer Insights team and five years with research
agencies.
“I am looking forward to working with
Premier’s decision makers, the insight team and our agency partners to build
on the strong programme already in place with Premier,” said Garlick.
