Feast East 2010 will be welcoming an array of some of the best chefs in
the East of England. Opening the show will be celebrity chef Anton Edelmann
of Anton’s Restaurant at Great Hallingbury Manor in the Cookery Theatre on
Fri 5 March at 10.30am, followed by one of his entertaining culinary
demonstrations. Later in the afternoon at 2.30pm one of the region’s best
known names, star of UKTV Food’s Market Kitchen and BBC2’s Great
British Menu, Galton Blackiston, chef/proprietor of Morston Hall in
North Norfolk will be welcomed. Other first class chefs on Friday’s
itinerary include Mark Jones of Down Hall country hotel in Bishop’s
Stortford, East Herts; Tine Roche of Cambridge Cookery School; and Mark
Poynton of Cambridge’s Restaurant Alimentum.
Sat 6 March will see Emma Crowhurst of BBC2 Food and Drink fame
take the stage at 11.30am; Jay Scrimshaw of the Pheasant at Keyston, Cambs
and losing finalist in Channel 4 Gordon Ramsay’s F Word programme ‘Best
Local Restaurant’ competition is on stage at 3.30pm; Feast East regular
faces Peter Friskey of the Red Lion at Hinxton, Cambs; and Franck Pontais of
Food Creation as well as newcomers Russell Bateman from Colette’s Restaurant
at the Grove, Watford, Herts; and Carl Shillingford of the Anchor at Nayland,
Essex will also be appearing.
